Meet the Founder
Steadfast Educational Staffing was founded by Sherrell Cooper — educator, entrepreneur, and someone who has believed in the power of education her entire life.
Sherrell holds a Master of Arts in Writing Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English, both from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. That academic foundation, combined with over a decade of hands-on experience in educational settings, gives her a unique perspective on what schools and students actually need.
Her work in education spans K–12 classrooms across the greater Philadelphia area as both a substitute and classroom teacher, including leading a Pre-K classroom and providing individualized support for children with autism and ADHD. She has seen firsthand what it means for a school to have the right person in the room — and what happens when they don’t.
Beyond the classroom, Sherrell is a seven-year small business owner with real experience in staffing, operations, and building something from the ground up. She has also spent years mentoring youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County — a reflection of her long-standing commitment to the next generation.
As a wife and mother who was raised in a family where education was a core value, Sherrell started Steadfast with a deeply personal mission — to make sure every classroom has dependable, qualified support, because she knows what is at stake for the children sitting in those seats.
At Steadfast, every placement is personal. Because for us, it always comes back to the students.
